How Protected is Your Investment?

 

Warranties seem to be attached to almost everything we buy today. But do you actually know what your warranty covers? At the time of your vehicle purchase we offer five different levels of coverage – our Pro Certified Lifetime Warranty plus four other levels to choose from depending on your needs. At the Frank Ancona dealership we want to help you fully understand your coverage options so that you can pick the plan that’s the right fit for you.

A warranty is essentially a guarantee that is issued to the customer ensuring that if there is a problem with your vehicle we will repair or replace the affected part within a specified period of time. At Frank Ancona Honda our Pro Certified Lifetime Powertrain Warranty is included free with every eligible vehicle purchased from our dealership and covers your engine, transmission and drivetrain assembly.

 

This free powertrain warranty is valuable as it can save you  a significant amount of money on unexpected repairs over the lifetime of your vehicle. This warranty lasts as long as you own the vehicle and the only requirement is that you maintain your vehicle to the manufacturer’s recommendations.

While this free warranty covers the powertrain, customers have the opportunity to upgrade their plan to extend coverage to the entire car. These lifetime warranties help you to always know what the cost is going to be on any repair to your vehicle. You can even choose from different deductible levels to further protect you financially.

 

Our customers find warranty coverage extremely beneficial, especially on higher mileage vehicles that have a higher likelihood of needing future repairs. On top of our incredible powertrain warranty we do several additional warranties to protect your investment.

 

Together with our Lifetime Powertrain Warranty, these optional non lifetime warranties combine to offer a level of protection almost unheard of in the industry!

 

The four additional warranty options are as follows:

 

Powertrain Advantage

Covers all parts for engine, transmission and drivetrain assembly. You also get the added coverage of an expense reimbursement package that includes a rental car, manufacturer’s Warranty deductible and travel/lodging as well as roadside assistance.

 

Vehicle Value Care

This protection plan includes everything that is covered by the Powertrain Advantage plan plus additional coverage for the suspension, front-wheel steering, brakes, the electrical systems, AC and heating, fuel system and the car’s cooling system.

 

Mechanical Advantage Care

This protection plan includes the first two plans plus additional coverage for interior electronics, powertrain electronics, ABS brakes, convenience accessories and the vehicle hardware.

 

Automotive Preferred Care

This plan, our best coverage, offers all parts ranging from the engine and transmission to audio equipment and video hardware, except for specifically excluded services and conditions.

 

When considering your options, keep in mind that the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty comes with your car but you have the opportunity to upgrade your coverage at the time of purchase. Tips To Service Your Honda

Properly servicing and maintaining your vehicle is important if you want it to last, but should you take it to the dealership or the garage down the street?

Taking your car in for servicing at the place you bought it, can play an important role in relationship building. For some the big benefit is simply doing business where you are known. Another benefit is that technicians at the dealership level are specialists; they have been manufacture trained and have had a lot of experience with your car model.

When you decide to trade your car in, if the dealership has instant access to all of your service records you will get more for your vehicle. It is also a great selling point on pre-owned cars, to be selling a local car that has a great service history attached to it.

AAA says that reading your vehicle’s owner’s manual is the best way to become an informed consumer. The manual will provide a detailed recommended maintenance schedule for that vehicle’s make and model. Maintenance requirements are broken into two categories: “normal” and “severe”. Pay attention to how and where you typically drive your vehicle to see which category your maintenance needs fall under. AAA also recommends some maintenance tasks to do yourself, like inspecting your tires and tread, knowing your battery life, and taking a look at the belts and hoses.

Coats For Kids Drive A Success!

We’d like to thank all our customers and employees for a very successful Coats For Kids drive this year!

In autumn, we asked everyone to drop off gently-used kids coats at Frank Ancona Honda. The coats were distributed to Coats For Kids, which aims to assist in the health and educational needs of children from low-income families by donating coats to keep them warm in cold weather.

Jason Heard, general sales manager at Frank Ancona Honda, said, “Our customers came through yet again with another very successful Coats For Kids donation drive at Frank Ancona Honda. We want to thank our customers and employees for their commitment to the children of Kansas City. Another special thanks goes to Pride Cleaners for getting all of the coats clean.”

The cutoff date for this year was Dec. 7, but the drive will run throughout the entirety of 2014 to prepare for next year’s winter needs.

Drop Off Donations at Frank Ancona Honda for Coats for Kids

For the third year in a row, we’re happy to announce that we are participating in Coats for Kids, a campaign which provides school children with coats and warm wear for school during the cold winter months. Anyone who wants to participate can drop off their coats at Frank Ancona Honda located at 1000 North Rogers Road in Olathe, Kan. The cutoff date for this year is Dec. 7, 2013, but the campaign will run throughout all of 2014 in order to prepare for next winter.

This is especially important for kids, as it is easier to attend, focus and participate in the educational process when nobody has to worry about something as simple as staying warm. Even better, Coats for Kids is designed to assist the health and educational needs of economically disadvantaged families who need the help the most.

This is a low impact means to make a difference; most families with children likely have coats that they have outgrown, and can probably find one that would be suitable for donation.
