Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com named several 2016 Honda Models with Overall Best Buy, Best Buy, Best Value Brand and Best Resale Value Awards. We’re proud to announce that the 2016 Honda Civic is the Overall Best Buy according to Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com, along with the 2016 Honda CR-V, Pilot and Odyssey, which were named Best Buy of the Year in their respective classes.
Additional awards include U.S. News naming the CR-V the Best Car for the Money among compact SUVs. The Honda Fit also was also recognized by U.S. News rankings and was awarded the Best Car for the Money title in the Subcompact and Hatchback categories. Both the CR-V and Fit were commended for their high EPA-estimated mpg ratings and low long-term ownership costs.

The coveted 2016 TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) was awarded to four Hondas in recognition of their superior crash safety performance. Several 2016 Honda models were also recognized by IIHS with the esteemed TOP SAFETY PICK rating due to their excellent safety performance and still more earned top marks with a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Now, the new 2016 model has just earned the most prestigious award in the automotive industry: the 2016 North American Car of the Year Award.
The all-new 2016 Honda Civic received the award at the opening ceremony of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2016.
In a Honda press release, Jeff Conrad, Honda Division senior vice president and general manager, said, “The all-new Civic was developed and is built in North America, making this North American Car of the Year win even sweeter. Civic is a cornerstone of the Honda lineup, and we’re delighted and the automotive press has recognized the new levels of styling, performance, advanced technology, safety and value that characterize the new Civic.”
The North American Car of the Year Award is given by a group of 53 international automotive journalists and recognizes the most outstanding car of the year based on factors such as innovation, design, safety, performance, technology and more. This award is unique because it is given from automotive journalists from the United States and Canada.
The 2016 Honda Civic can also add a top safety pick from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety to its list of achievements. The new model has received the highest available safety rating as well as a top rating of GOOD in five IIHS crash test modes.
Conrad said, “As these new safety ratings demonstrate, the 2016 Civic Sedan not only brings new value to the compact segment with its hefty upgrades to fun-to-drive performance, fuel efficiency, refinement and technology, it also delivers advanced collision safety performance. Honda recently announced that new-car shoppers have recognized Honda as the Most Trusted Brand and Best Overall Brand in Kelley Blue Book’s 2014 Brand Image Awards. This is the third year in a row that Honda was named the Most Trusted Brand and the second consecutive year as Best Overall Brand.
The Brand Image Awards are based on extensive research gathered throughout the year using Kelley Blue Book Market Intelligence’s Brand Watch study. This online study taps into more than 12,000 new-vehicle shoppers who do research at KBB.com. According to KBB.com, the Brand Image Awards “ recognize automakers’ outstanding achievements in creating and maintaining brand attributes that engender enthusiasm among new-vehicle buyers.
In a press release, Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda automobile division for American Honda, said, “A brand is really built over the long haul through consumers’ experiences with its products, and Honda is committed to delivering class-leading vehicles that provide lasting enjoyment and value to our customers. Honda simply embraces the challenge of being a brand that people can trust.”
The 2013 Honda Accord stood atop the list on KBB.com’s family vehicles and boasted the lowest five-year cost to own among 10 other vehicles. The honor comes just weeks after earning TOP SAFETY PICK from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) The all-new Odyssey was the number one minivan on the list. The sought after family-friendly vehicle leads it’s class in fuel economy and safety ratings. The CR-V, another TOP SAFETY PICK, achieved the highest KBB.com 60-Month Residual Value and eanred top honors for KBB’s compact SUV class.
Editors sang the Accord’s praises for innovative features like LaneWatch™ blind spot display and its sophisticated interior design. The Odyssey Touring, at an astounding 28 mpg, possesses the highest rated EPA highway fuel economy rating of any eight-passenger minivan.
