We are pleased to announce that Honda recently attained its best ever results in the 2011 J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study (IQS) with seven different vehicles winning their categories and four vehicles coming in second. In addition, Honda was also rated the second highest in the entire survey, beating luxury brands such as Lexus.
Coming off a long string of challenging sales months, and still dealing with the aftereffects of this spring’s disasters in Japan, Honda finally was the recipient of some good news recently, when the automaker achieved its best results ever in the 2011 J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study (IQS). Not only was Honda the second-highest-rated brand in the entire survey, topping even all luxury brands except Lexus, but it also had seven different vehicles win their segments—more than any other automaker—and its own premium division, Acura, finished in third place overall.
Topping their categories for Honda were:
•Honda Fit—Sub-Compact Car
•Honda Civic and Honda Insight (tie)—Compact Car
•Honda Accord—Midsize Car
•Honda Element—Compact Crossover/SUV
•Honda Accord Crosstour—Midsize Crossover/SUV
•Honda Ridgeline—Midsize Pickup
