Honda Continues Its Impressive 2017 Model Lineup with the Third Generation Fit

A lot can happen in 10 years; life can change and so can cars. This year Honda released the 2017 Honda Fit which puts the versatile, fun and affordable Fit line into its tenth year on the market of the United States. The 2017 Fit remains one of the most fuel efficient cars on the road today and continues to be built on its phenomenal award winning platform which earned it recognition for Best Hatchback for the Money by U.S. News & World Report,One of America’s 10 Best Back-to-School Cars by KBB.com and a Five Star Rating from NHTSA in 2016.

Boasting an amazing 36/29 Hwy/City MPG rating, the traditional, five-door hatchback is available in three different trim levels: LX, EX and the EX-L. The Fit comes standard with automatic headlights, Bluetooth and a center console with storage. Different trims levels will offer features such as a power moonroof, a 7.0-inch touchscreen display audio system and heated leather seats. Also new for 2017 is the addition of Alabaster Silver Metallic to the exterior color options.

What really sets the Fit apart from other compact hatchbacks is the amount of interior space it boasts. According to Honda, the vehicle offers class-leading passenger space and versatility courtesy of its center-mounted fuel tank and their “Magic Seat.” In fact, Honda states that the Fit offers nearly four more inches of legroom to passengers in the rear of the car. Instead of being limited in storage space, the Fit has the storage capacity of a larger SUV due to the folding ability of the seats. Car and Driver even called the original model a “diminutive road warrior with Great-Pumpkin interior volume.” How often can that be said about a compact hatchback? Not very often and the Fit owns that extra space!

Frank Ancona Honda Reflects Upon History with Z600 While Driving Toward the Future

This year marks an exciting point in Honda’s history, as the first Z600 is being professionally restored by Tim Mings and backed by Honda. This exciting project got us at Frank Ancona Honda thinking about our own historic vehicles.

According to an interview with Mings by Hemmings Daily, the serial number one vehicle was acquired through a stroke of good luck. It wasn’t until Mings began restoring one of the two models he acquired in a single deal that he realized what he had. Honda is supporting an ongoing project to properly restore the Honda N600 to pristine condition. Every week, Honda is posting updates on the project and sharing a piece of its history through social media channels.

Honda has established itself as a brand that will last. On Kelley Blue Books list of the 10 top-purchased cars of 2015, the Honda Civic came in at number eight, the CR-V at number seven, and the Accord at number six. With such impressive results, it is important to look back at the roots of the company to understand the desire to engineer a solid vehicle.

Frank Ancona Honda is lucky enough to own an extensive showroom that showcases the rich history of Honda. Many different historical vehicles are on display to welcome guests who come into our dealership. Included in the collection are a few motorcycles, scooters and our very own 1971 Honda 600 Coupe.

We also are excited to showcase several other vintage creations from Honda, such as the 1975 Honda MR50 Elsinore, a special edition mini dirt bike only made in 1974 and 1975.

Additional vintage items in our showroom include the Honda Kick-N-Go 2, a 1983 Honda Express bike, a 1986 Honda Spree scooter and some portable generators created by Honda in the ’60s.

To see these vintage items, come in to our dealership, and maybe take some time to test drive a new 2016 Honda Civic. Our featured special lease for the 2016 Civic Sedan CVT LX requires $2,320 total due at signing and only $169.50 per month for 36 months/36,000 miles. See dealership for additional details and information.
