Honda To Debut Hydrogen-Fueled Concept Car At Detroit Auto Show

Honda is known for its innovation and environmental leadership, so it’s no surprise that Honda has recently upped the ante for alternative-fuel vehicles with its new FCV hydrogen-powered concept car. According to an official news release, the car will be making its North American debut at Detroit’s North American International Auto Show in January.

Honda has been at the forefront of fuel-cell vehicle innovation since the original FCX became the world’s first production fuel-cell vehicle in U.S. and Japan in December 2002. In 2008, Honda also became the first manufacturer to create a fuel-cell vehicle dealer network.

So what’s new about this car? According to Honda, this FCV will have an anticipated driving range of about 300 miles, it will seat up to five people and it’s intended to have gains in packaging, interior space, performance and cost reduction.

The future may not be as far away as we think! If produced, you can expect this car to be rolling out in Japan as early as March 2016 and in North America and Europe shortly after.
