Honda has released information on the new model year of their popular HR-V crossover SUV. The HR-V will feature a bold and sporty coupe-like styling combined with the versatility of an SUV and will come standard with an estimated 34-mpg EPA highway fuel economy rating and an estimated 28-mpg city fuel economy rating for the 2WD CVT. This impressive fuel economy is sure to help the new model continue its impressive record as the 2016 Green SUV of the Year, along with its other recognitions of U.S. News Best Cars for Families and KBB.com’s 16 Best Family Cars of 2016.
The HR-V will be available in three trims, the LX, EX and EX-L. The 2017 model will be powered by a refined and efficient 1.8-liter 4-cylinder 16 valve DOHC i-VTEC® engine producing a peak 141 horsepower. Paired with the engine is one of two efficient and responsive Honda transmissions: A seamless and sporty continuously variable transmission (CVT), available on all models, or an engaging 6-speed manual transmission, available on LX and EX models with 2WD.
The crossover will come standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, a push button electric parking brake with Automatic Brake Hold, a rearview camera with guidelines, Pandora® radio and Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink®, the 2017 HR-V also adds a sophisticated new color – Lunar Silver metallic – to its palette, replacing Alabaster Silver.

A lot can happen in 10 years; life can change and so can cars. This year Honda released the 2017 Honda Fit which puts the versatile, fun and affordable Fit line into its tenth year on the market of the United States. The 2017 Fit remains one of the most fuel efficient cars on the road today and continues to be built on its phenomenal award winning platform which earned it recognition for Best Hatchback for the Money by U.S. News & World Report,One of America’s 10 Best Back-to-School Cars by KBB.com and a Five Star Rating from NHTSA in 2016.
Boasting an amazing 36/29 Hwy/City MPG rating, the traditional, five-door hatchback is available in three different trim levels: LX, EX and the EX-L. The Fit comes standard with automatic headlights, Bluetooth and a center console with storage. Different trims levels will offer features such as a power moonroof, a 7.0-inch touchscreen display audio system and heated leather seats. Also new for 2017 is the addition of Alabaster Silver Metallic to the exterior color options.
What really sets the Fit apart from other compact hatchbacks is the amount of interior space it boasts. According to Honda, the vehicle offers class-leading passenger space and versatility courtesy of its center-mounted fuel tank and their “Magic Seat.” In fact, Honda states that the Fit offers nearly four more inches of legroom to passengers in the rear of the car. Instead of being limited in storage space, the Fit has the storage capacity of a larger SUV due to the folding ability of the seats. Car and Driver even called the original model a “diminutive road warrior with Great-Pumpkin interior volume.” How often can that be said about a compact hatchback? Not very often and the Fit owns that extra space!
To test drive one of these incredible and sporty vehicles, we encourage you to stop by our Olathe dealership. Don’t wait too long, now is the perfect time to buy with our Summer Clearance Event in full swing.

The top selling Honda Civic Sedan got a fantastic facelift this year, especially with the coupe. Later this year, the new Honda Civic Hatchback will be released in North America. According to Honda, the 2017 Hatchback combines striking Euro-inspired styling and five-door versatility with the Civic’s world-class driving dynamics and Honda direct-injected turbo engine technology. The new model is scheduled to serve as a foundation for the new radical Civic Type-R launching in the U.S. in 2017.
According to Jeff Conrad, senior VP and general manager of the Honda Division of American Honda Motor Co., “The Civic Hatch has been a staple for Honda in Europe, but has long been the forbidden fruit for Honda fans in the U.S.”
The vehicle is built on the same platform as the current generation of the sedan and coupe. The turbocharged engine will be offered with either a sporty CVT (all trims) or a performance-inspired six-speed manual transmission (LX, Sport and EX trims). The interior of the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback carries through on the modern, sophisticated and premium quality of the tenth generation Civic lineup, with high-grade materials and finishes applied liberally throughout. In terms of packaging, the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback delivers class-leading volume and cargo capacity including a roomy interior (122.9 cu. ft.), best rear seat legroom (36.0 inches) and largest cargo carrying capacity in the competitive set.
According to CNET, the new trim being introduced with the car, the Sport Touring, will make a number of optional technologies standard. These technologies will include Honda Sensing, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, LED headlights and heated rear seats. The Sport Touring will also add a center-mounted exhaust. Honda Sensing is available on most trims, and includes autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

Frank Ancona Honda will pay for dinner for two with an allowance of up to $200.
The Honda Ridgeline was chosen as the date night vehicle due to its styling as a truck that is perfect for everyone, even those that do not work construction or use the hauling feature often. Car and Driver had a lot of positive notes about the vehicle including the vehicle’s new form. The truck’s structure is the same as the Honda Pilot crossover. From the front the truck looks identical to the Pilot that just had the last row of seats opened up and removed. According to a report to Car and Driver, the front structure is actually 17 percent stronger than that of the Pilot, while the rear is 31 percent sturdier. While the truck actually has a lower hauling capacity when compared to other trucks this vehicle is targeted to customers to be an everyday kind of truck that is less clumsy.

The division of Honda that focuses primarily on two-wheeled vehicles has started to reveal their 2017 models. They began the releases with an updated version of the popular Grom. The new model has received a comprehensive redesign that includes a sharper and more aggressive appearance, according to Honda.
According to Lee Edmunds, manager of motorcycle marketing communications at American Honda, the motorcycle has been a huge success since its introduction in 2016. He goes on to state, “This fun-loving motorcycle has been a big hit in a little package, single handedly establishing a thriving market for small-wheeled, small-displacement, big-personality road bikes that lend themselves to personalization.”
Sportrider notes that the Grom itself is seen as part minibike, but all motorcycle and manageable for full-sized adults. The new version is essentially just a cosmetic upgrade with an edgier appearance. This new appearance is due partly to an integrated fuel tank and side panels, modern stocked LED headlight layout, a sportier handlebar and many other features that help transition the bike as a great bike to zip around the city.
