Motor Trend magazine recently named the Honda CR-V as the 2015 sport utility vehicle of the year for 2015. The CR-V was selected for the honor because of its fuel economy, driving dynamics, overall refinement and updated safety features. It was also selected because of its placement as the best selling SUV in America over the past ten years.
The 2015 CR-V has upped its fuel economy from previous models and also now features Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology™ which helps increase the fuel economy as well as horsepower and torque. The new model also features Touring trim, Honda Sensing™ safety and driver assistive technologies.
About the CR-V, Ed Loh, Motor Trend manager-in-chief, said, “The 2015 Honda CR-V impressed our judges with its extensive list of delightful design and thoughtful engineering improvements. Our editors were especially impressed by Honda’s responsive and efficient continuously-variable transmission and sophisticated safety systems – particularly the smart and seamlessly integrated Lane Keeping Assist system. Efficient, practical, and a joy to drive; the 2015 Honda CR-V does virtually everything well.”
The CR-V won the award from Motor Trend after an extensive three-phase testing period from a panel of judges. SUVs were judged in categories such as design advancement, value and engineering excellence. The recognition from Motor Trend further supports the sales success of the Honda CR-V in the past decade.
