Honda is gearing up for a big showcase at the 2016 SEMA show with a custom Honda Ridgeline. The SEMA show is one of the top automotive trade shows in the world and takes place annually in Las Vegas, Nevada. At this show, different auto manufacturers will showcase educational seminars, product demonstrations and much more. The trade show is said to draw the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products, as over 60,000 people attended last year’s show.
The decision to showcase a custom Ridgeline at this year’s event was an easy choice, especially with all of the positive feedback the truck has been receiving since its launch a few months ago. Right out of the gate, Car and Driver fell in love with the spacious and comfortable interior, claiming it “embarrasses the competition.” Most recently, the pickup truck was recognized for its superior safety. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, or IIHS, recently shared a video, discussing tests performed on a series of trucks where the Ridgeline stood out. Overall, the IIHS has provided superior safety ratings for the truck that are well within Honda’s standards of excellence.
Unlike typical trucks, this vehicle is a great everyday mode of transportation that can provide consumers with a multitude of features that are not offered among competing brands, such as Ford and Chevrolet. These features include an in-bed storage compartment with a drain and dual-action tailgate that opens vertically and horizontally to allow for easy loading and finally weatherproof speakers in the bed making this vehicle ideal for tailgating.
For a chance to own a 2017 Honda Ridgeline, visit Frank Ancona Honda at 1000 N Rogers Rd, Olathe, KS 66062. You can also call us at (913) 782-3636 to schedule a test drive of this incredible truck.

Frank Ancona Admires the Beautiful restoration of the first Honda Car Imported and Sold in the United States.
October 24, 2016
It’s been nearly 50 years since the first Honda N600, nicknamed the Serial One and sporting a modest 0.6-liter two-cylinder engine, made its way across the ocean to the United States.
As the first Honda automobile imported for sale in the North America, the N600 helped launch a major market shift that saw small Japanese cars successfully challenge the hegemony of gas guzzlers from the ‘Big Three’ American manufacturers.
Today, the effort to restore that very first N600 is nearly finished. The restoration process, documented in a 12-part video series entitled, ‘Serial One,’ has taken well over a year to complete. After collecting dust in a junk pile for nearly 50 years, it’s safe to say this hidden gem has seen better days.
According to an interview with Tim Mings, the owner of the Serial One, the serial number one vehicle was acquired through a stroke of good luck. Tim Mings originally bought the car along with another older model without realizing that the Serial One was now in his possession. It was not until he began restoring the car that he realized he’d inadvertently purchased the historic vehicle. Honda is currently supporting Mings’ ongoing project to properly restore the Serial One, the Honda N600, to pristine condition.
Frank Ancona Honda President Michael Ancona shares Mings’ vision on preserving the history of Honda, saying:
“We love the history of the cars which is why we have an extensive collection of Historic Honda projects. We enjoy reminiscing on our history as we look forward to the future with new vehicles.”
In the years since the Serial One’s arrival on American shores, Honda has established itself as an international brand that will stand the test of time. To that point, Frank Ancona Honda is lucky enough to own an extensive showroom of classic Honda products like their 1971 Honda Z600 Coupe.

The 2017 CR-V in EX and higher trims will feature CR-V’s first ever turbocharged engine along with a more powerful and fuel-efficient 1.5-liter DOHC, direct-injected and turbocharged 4-cylinder enginerated at 190 horsepower, delivering incredibly refined and responsive performance.. Warranties seem to be attached to almost everything we buy today. But do you actually know what your warranty covers? At the time of your vehicle purchase we offer five different levels of coverage – our Pro Certified Lifetime Warranty plus four other levels to choose from depending on your needs. At the Frank Ancona dealership we want to help you fully understand your coverage options so that you can pick the plan that’s the right fit for you.
A warranty is essentially a guarantee that is issued to the customer ensuring that if there is a problem with your vehicle we will repair or replace the affected part within a specified period of time. At Frank Ancona Honda our Pro Certified Lifetime Powertrain Warranty is included free with every eligible vehicle purchased from our dealership and covers your engine, transmission and drivetrain assembly.
This free powertrain warranty is valuable as it can save you a significant amount of money on unexpected repairs over the lifetime of your vehicle. This warranty lasts as long as you own the vehicle and the only requirement is that you maintain your vehicle to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Please see the actual warranty information for full details. This information is available to you prior to purchasing the vehicle. Please take the time to carefully read all of the terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions as not all parts or circumstances are covered.
While this free warranty covers the powertrain, customers have the opportunity to upgrade their plan to extend coverage to the entire car. These lifetime warranties help you to always know what the cost is going to be on any repair to your vehicle. You can even choose from different deductible levels to further protect you financially.
Our customers find warranty coverage extremely beneficial, especially on higher mileage vehicles that have a higher likelihood of needing future repairs. On top of our incredible powertrain warranty we do several additional warranties to protect your investment.
Together with our Lifetime Powertrain Warranty, these optional non lifetime warranties combine to offer a level of protection almost unheard of in the industry!
The four additional warranty options are as follows:
Covers all parts for engine, transmission and drivetrain assembly. You also get the added coverage of an expense reimbursement package that includes a rental car, manufacturer’s Warranty deductible and travel/lodging as well as roadside assistance.
Vehicle Value Care
This protection plan includes everything that is covered by the Powertrain Advantage plan plus additional coverage for the suspension, front-wheel steering, brakes, the electrical systems, AC and heating, fuel system and the car’s cooling system.
Mechanical Advantage Care
This protection plan includes the first two plans plus additional coverage for interior electronics, powertrain electronics, ABS brakes, convenience accessories and the vehicle hardware.
Automotive Preferred Care
This plan, our best coverage, offers all parts ranging from the engine and transmission to audio equipment and video hardware, except for specifically excluded services and conditions.
When considering your options, keep in mind that the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty comes with your car but you have the opportunity to upgrade your coverage at the time of purchase. Our best advice to the consumer is to carefully look over each warranty plan offered so that you make make an informed decision about what care plan fits you and your new vehicle the best. If you have any questions on warranties or need help choosing the best fit for you, don’t hesitate to call us at 913-782-3636 or stop in and talk to our friendly and knowledgeable finance department.

Honda is celebrating Second Annual National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Dayearly with an incredible announcement. The 2017 Honda Fuel Cell Clarity will be released this winter. National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day on October 8 was initially created to help raise awareness of a clean energy technology that is currently available in today’s world. The date of the 8th is significant as 10/08 is the atomic weight of hydrogen (1.008).
Honda believes that hydrogen can play a critical role in addressing global climate change and accelerating progress towards a more sustainable, ultra low-carbon mobility future. The new 5-passenger, hydrogen-powered Clarity Fuel Cell sedan is expected to have the ability to traverse over 300 miles per fueling with a refueling time of approximately three to five minutes. Honda believes that the zero-emission Clarity will meet customer needs for performance, safety and advanced telematics all while addressing society’s environmental and energy concerns. The fuel cell stack within the car is said to be 33 percent more compact than previous models with a 60 percent increase in power compared to the Honda FCX Clarity. The compact fuel cell and integrated powertrain now fits entirely under the hood allowing for more spacious seating.
The new model will feature a low and wide aerodynamic body with clean lines while the interior showcases a refined experience using rich materials and intuitive controls. Like many new model Honda’s, customers will be able to enjoy additional features including the Honda Sensing™ suite of safety and driver assistive technologies, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. The Clarity Fuel Cell will be available in Crystal Black Pearl, White Orchid Pearl and signature Bordeaux Red Metallic exterior paint schemes.
