What could be more fun than bowling or hitting a pinata? How about hitting a giant pinata or knocking over giant bowling pins while driving the sporty all-new 2016 Honda Civic coupe? Utilizing social media, Honda crowdsourced ideas to build a new test track, the Civic Dream Track, to showcase the handling of the 2016 Honda Civic coupe. This first of its kind course incorporated many interesting and fun ideas.
The course was driven by professional stunt driver, Matt Powers. Outside of adding a stick to hit the pinata and various cameras, the Honda Civic used in the video was not modified, which allowed the car’s natural abilities to shine through. You can view the video of the car driving the course here.
According to Car and Driver, the newly redesigned Civic coupe boasts a sporty edge, from added sculpting to its body to the way its wheels and tires fully occupy the wheel wells. But it goes beyond its appearance. The engine in the new, agile coupe gives it a performance boost over previous generations. The base model comes with 158 horsepower while the higher end models come with 174 horsepower. This is a large boost from the previous generations, which only came with horsepower in the 140s.

The minivan segment isn’t nearly as congested as it used to be thanks to the rise of crossover vehicles. In their wake, the minivans that remain tend to be more luxurious, utility-driven, and spacious for families. Safety is a major priority and automakers don’t skimp on features. When comparing the 2016 Honda Odyssey to the 2016 Toyota Sienna, the top two minivans on the market, the Odyssey comes out on top.
In terms of styling, the Honda Odyssey shines. Its rear roofline spoiler and aerodynamic design boast a look similar to a crossover that offers more interior space. On the inside, the Odyssey’s technology blows the Sienna out of the water. The Odyssey comes standard with an 8-inch display screen, while the Sienna’s standard display screen is only 6.1-inches. Honda’s minivan also offers an available built-in vacuum system, the HondaVac, making cleaning up kids’ messes easy. The Sienna can’t compete with that.
Seating is plentiful in both the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna, but the Odyssey’s seating offers much more flexibility. Aside from the base model, the Odyssey can seat up to eight people, so Honda created a second row center seat that can easily be removed to create a pass-through to the back. While this center seat is in use, it can also easily be moved forward independently from the second row. To create more shoulder room for second row passengers while the center seat is installed, the outer seats can be moved 1.5 inches to the side. No one will be complaining about tight quarters while riding in the Odyssey!
Honda scores another win when it comes to fuel efficiency. The 2016 Honda Odyssey gets an EPA-estimated mileage of 19 mpg in the city and 28 on the highway, while the Sienna gets 18 mpg in the city and 25 on the highway.
Now you can see why the 2016 Honda Odyssey is the better minivan. For more information, stop by Frank Ancona Honda or call 913-782-3636. We’ll help you find the perfect vehicle for you and your family.

The battle between trucks has been focused too long on Ford and Chevrolet. Frank Ancona Honda is here to tell you there’s a stylish newcomer to the fight that has a lot to offer. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline is driving out of the shadows to show off its many impressive features.
The Ridgeline boasts an enormous and comfortable interior that, according to Car and Driver, “embarrasses the competition.” There is also a great deal of hidden storage underneath the back passenger seats with enough room to store a set of golf clubs.
The exterior of the truck also comes standard with quality features. The bed of the truck is made with a composite material, as opposed to the steel and aluminum beds that you see in competitors. Recently, Chevrolet and Ford have been posting videos to show off the durability, or lack thereof, of the beds in their trucks. Honda jumped in the fray by posting a video of their own that shows the Ridgeline can handle just as much while showing hardly any damage at all.
The Ridgeline isn’t just a vehicle for the stereotypical truck owner; it’s also a great everyday mode of transportation. The bed of the truck includes a storage compartment with a drain that would be perfect as a cooler for the sports fan who loves to tailgate. The dual-action tailgate opens vertically and horizontally to allow for easy loading. With all the strength of a classic truck and many unique additional features, the 2017 Honda Ridgeline is staking its claim in the battle for most impressive truck.

Memorial Day weekend was filled with excitement and adventure, especially for Frank Ancona Honda President Michael Ancona, who attended the Indy 500 in the Honda Suite box. Ancona was able to witness not only an incredible race, but also a big win for the Honda Racing Team.
Alexander Rossi, a rookie, stretched his tank of gas 36 laps compared to the average 32 laps per tank that most drivers are able to make. According to Sports Illustrated, Rossi has spent the majority of his career racing on road and street courses that require the drivers to make left and right turns. The skillset for an oval track, such as the one in Indianapolis, requires a different set of skills. In only the second oval of his career, Rossi won at what is considered the most challenging and dangerous race track in the world. He is the first rookie to win at the Indy 500 since Helio Castroneves in 2001. Rossi was followed by his teammate Carlos Munoz, who finished second almost four and a half seconds behind Rossi.
Marco Andretti, the grandson of racing legend Mario Andretti, finished behind his teammates at Andretti Autosport in 13th. In a tweet, Andretti attributed his placement in the race to his tires saying, “Fun day until the front tires were put on the wrong side. Really bummed, the car was good. Unfortunate mistake but my guys are the best.” Andretti was later quoted at the celebration saying, “It was an honor to … even qualify for the 100th Running.”
Before the race, Ancona enjoyed a full tour of the pit, as well as the opportunity to meet current and former drivers such as Sarah Fisher. Fisher is a former IndyCar racer and the youngest woman ever to qualify for the Indianapolis 500 at 19 years old. Experiences like this make us proud to represent Honda.
